The Baby Boomer's Guide to General 1950s Trivia
![]() |
Before Generation X or Generation Y, and all the other recent demographic constructs, stand the Baby Boomers. While the 1946-1964 era marks the most commonly accepted timeline for our group, some observers argue that two distinct cultural generations exist within that period with the actual "Baby Boomers" coming from the period 1942-1953. For us, the 1950s was the first decade to shape our view of the world. I was born in 1947, smack dab in the middle of that first wave, spending my formative years in the City that Never Sleeps. This series has been a guide to my galaxy, focusing on film, television, sports and history within that six-decade period known as my so-called life. Now for some general trivia, focused on the 1950s. The subjects will be drawn solely from the US, and cover politics, popular culture and people. So, to all you hep cats and cool chicks, welcome! Feel free to check out my full Baby Boomer series. And I hope you had your ginseng and gingko today! NOTE: Some of the questions are reading questions and not recommended for speed-demon quiz takers!
