Over the centuries there have been countless battles on British soil, some of which were instrumental in determining how things would pan out in the long term in there islands in terms of territory and political/nationalist demarcation. This little quiz deals with some of these fights, hopefully in an edifying, fun and educational way. Enjoy, please!

It seems I need to brush up on my foreign history...........this was much tougher than I anticipated.
Wonderful quiz. It exposes my very incomplete knowledge of
battles of the British Isles. I guess I did ok for an American.

Wow, tough as you said by also very educational, Thanks for your effort or did you just know all these battles when you wrote this quiz, and how could you leave out the Battle of Badon Hill? Eileen
Interesting to see that most of our significant battles were fought in Scotland!
