Men apparently, are less likely than women to seek help for their depression, and thus likely to cope with it by other means such as drinking. And although more women attempt suicide than men, more men die from suicide because they use more lethal methods such as firearms. Researchers have estimated that 6 million men in the United States are depressed, and that this disorder has afflicted many well-known public figures.

Here are some of the famous men who suffered from depression.

Very good quiz with some tricky selections. A good mix of well known (Hemingway,Cobain) and not so well known (Aldrin, Styron). I expected 100% but didn't get it -- so good job!

depression is an insidious disease,and unfortunately,a stigma remains,especially for men.There is so much help out there,for people that will seek it.Friends+family should encourage,rather than disparage.Sorry to be on my soap box.Can you tell I'm a psych nurse?good quiz-even tho I didn't do that well.
