Find a Pro Sports Team Hidden in Each Sentence (9)
Billkozy on 03/21/2016
|The gimmick is easy: Each question will be a simple sentence that has a pro sports team name hidden in plain sight within it. For instance: in the sentence "The teacher will unpack erasers from the supply box" the hidden pro sports team (singular form) is PACKER, as in the GREEN BAY PACKERS: "The teacher will unPACK ERasers from the supply box."|
Easy, right? But in order to avoid listing the answer in the multiple choices, I will list a choice of leagues, and you have to choose the league that the hidden team is in. Otherwise there'd be no challenge to simply looking at the multiple choices and matching which one is obviously in the sentence. This way, the word play is combined with a bit of sports trivia knowledge.
So, in the example above, for instance, the question would look like:
"The teacher will unpack erasers from the supply box"
and the choices would be:
MLB (Major League Baseball)
NFL (National Football League)
NHL (National Hockey League)
NBA (National Basketball Association)
CFL (Canadian Football League)
You would, of course, choose NFL because the Green Bay Packers are in the NFL.
Sometimes the team's name will be plural and sometimes not, as in that "Packer" example.
