in gin rummy, you can't play off another person's cards either
I write a lot of quizzes and I play a lot of bridge. Sometimes a smart alec gets my goat. This note is not intended to be critical but rather helpful.
In bridge, distribution points should not be counted until you have trump agreement. In other words, the doubleton is not worth a point in question 3 any more than the stiff K is worth 5. I do understand the other hands not being worth 17 but since no of the answers is correct, one has to guess the least evil.
question 9 suggests that your point count is important. IT IS NOT!. 4 spades results in game, whether you have "points on" or not. The idea you are trying to covey is "when you do not have a part score". Just a suggestion since you mention card counting points earlier and in this question you mean "score".
I hope you will accept these ideas as helpful. Allena
