I have been wondering how to make an interesting quiz about French history without choosing obscure historical events. I have decided to make a quiz about Montmartre, a district of Paris located in the northern part of the town. Montmartre is a famous place where many well known painters gathered and worked. Among well known features of Montmartre, we can include the cabarets the "Moulin Rouge" and “Le Chat Noir“, the Basilica of Sacre Coeur, “Le Moulin de la Galette” and the Montmartre’s cemetery where famous writers and artists are buried. The history of Montmartre takes some significance within the history of Paris and France. This quiz is built as a guided tour of Montmartre highlighting the historical events connected to the features of the district. This quiz will require a knowledge in history, vocabulary, arts and music.
