Losing Records but still got NCAA Tournament Bids
![]() |
Since 1985, there have been ten college teams that had losing records during the course of the regular season, and yet still received NCAA college basketball tournament bids. It happens when these vastly inferior underdogs suddenly rise to the occasion at the end of the season and they win their conference championships and thus gain automatic invitations to "the Dance." Here is a brief history of those 10 schools that have done it so far. Good Luck, and please rate the quiz afterward if you can. Thanks! Best wishes, Bill
