Mnemonics
![]() |
A mnemonic is a memory aid to help you remember something, usually of an academic nature. The word "mnemonic" comes from a Greek word which itself comes from "Mnemosyne," the Greek goddess of memory, as do the words memory and memo. Some mnemonics are handy for almost everything, such as KISS - "Keep It Simple, Stupid." Some are very specific, as in "George Eats Old Gray Rats And Paints Houses Yellow" to help remember the spelling of Geography. I will give you the mnemonic; you choose the correct application. Good luck. Drop me a comment if you'd like an explanation of any answers. Thanks for choosing my quiz.

As you can see, I was familiar with three. Interesting.
Fascinating; I'd only ever heard 2/3 of these before. Great set!
