Name that Car Company
![]() |
Automobile manufacturers say naming a new car model is often harder than building the car. The name must be researched to see if it is in the public domain, and if the car will be sold in other countries, the name must not have negative connotations. The Chevy Nova, for example, was reputed to mean "won't go" in Spanish. Foreign auto-makers face the same problem when they name cars for sale in the U.S. For example, there's the Daihatsu Naked, Honda Life Dunk, Toyota Deliboy, Mitsubishi Pistachio, Mazda Bongo and Volugrafo Bimbo. I'll name the car model, and you select the auto company that produced it. Good luck, and thanks for taking my quiz.

great
You note that "Nova" means "won't go" in Spanish. Are you aware that the letters PT (as in PT Cruiser), when pronounced in French, mean "to fart"?
