The Cosmos: What do you know about our universe?
![]() |
The cosmos, or universe, is fascinating. With all the satellites, telescopes, space ships and other inventions we use to explore our universe, we still know very little about it. One problem is the time it takes to traverse the distances between ourselves and objects we wish to study. One light year is the distance light travels in one year, which is approximately 5,878,625,373,183.61 miles. With the present speed of anything we send into space, you can see why one person can never travel to another star in his/her lifetime. This quiz is for the hard-core astronomer or for someone who spends all their time studying this information. This information is only current as of 1993. Good luck and thanks for taking my quiz!
