In 1969, a reporter for a college newspaper published his review of the Beatles' new Abbey Road album. The article, "McCartney Dead; New Evidence Brought To Light" was meant as a joke. However, others took it seriously. Calls were made to radio DJs and the rumor was started: McCartney had died in 1966 and had been replaced by an impostor! This could be "proven" by a series of musical and album cover clues left by the three remaining Beatles. Having graduated from the school where the rumor unintentionally began, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, I'd like to invite you to take this quiz. What do you remember about the "clues" that supposedly proved that Paul McCartney was dead?
