Before the modern era of the World Series, which began in 1903, there were annual post-season contests between the pennant winners of the National League and the American Association between 1884 and 1890, and then intermittent series between the National League's top teams until 1900. This quiz is about these early contests for baseball supremacy. Have fun! Source: Total Baseball, edited by John Thorn and Pete Palmer, 1989 edition
