Among the fifty US states there are 3140 counties, ranging in number from Delaware's three to Texas's 254. Louisiana uses the term parish, while Alaska calls its counties boroughs. Many are named for historical figures. Thirty-one states have a Washington County, and Jefferson is next with twenty-seven.

Each question will list three counties (neither Washington nor Jefferson will be included). Select the state where you will find those three counties.
